Quick write for Spring. “Flowers in Her Hair.”
Short Quickwrite. “Flowers in Her Hair.”
We ran into the shade with flowers in her hair, the trees swept over us and the grass gleamed a particular shine from the rain before the clear, the tent was nice, a small stubborn thing with pillows inside, incense and a soft mat that felt more like blanket than rug. I softly stroked my hand against her cheeks and smiled, she couldn’t help but smile back, today was a good day among many, trips out to the beaches, meeting strangers every day, relaxing in the sun-kissed fields of wherever we felt like going next. There was a van nearby, welcoming us to any adventure we craved in any and every moment. We both sat still, listening to the laughter of those in the distance and the chirping of the birds nesting in the trees above us, we layed down, her eyes a glowing blue like the great barrier reef, she was warmer than the waters of such, “You’re beautiful today, every day. I hope you know that.” just then, the birds swooped out from the trees and into the clear blue sky. She sighed and rested her head on the pillows, her voice muffled through the sounds but still audible and still wonderful, “Yeah, yeah I know.”
